News on my debut novel – Running from Myself

I’ve loved reading for as long as I can remember. This photo was taken on holiday when I was around 12 years old, only a few years before I began making decisions that would have long-lasting consequences, which I’ve spent years trying to heal from.

I still love reading, but my book choices have changed a little since becoming a Christian. I love reading autobiographies of people who have been through hell, and God rescued them, and I also love beautiful Christian fiction stories. These fiction books tend to be written by American authors or set in historical times. I was yet to find a book that was in between these two genres, a book I could see myself and the life I lived in. Well I’m pleased to tell you that that’s where I hope my book sits.

‘RUNNING FROM MYSELF’ is a fiction book set in Manchester, UK, following three friends who go through their own personal hell, and then God shows up. The story has been inspired by real-life experiences I’ve had and the life I’ve seen growing up on estates in Manchester. It tackles gritty topics that might make you feel uncomfortable, but the story shows you that there is hope.

It’s currently with Peanut Designs for editing, book cover, publishing, etc. This will be self-published online, but copies will also be available from me, so look out for the option to pre-order it!

As we approach it’s publication which I hope will only be a few months away, I will be sharing more about the book and the characters. I can’t wait to show you the book cover!

Do you think it’s a book you would like to read? More importantly, will you be buying a copy?? Let me know in the comments x
