I often think of the vows I made on my wedding day, not just on our wedding anniversary but I like remind myself especially on special occasions.
Celebrating Marvs 40th birthday this week was one of those times. I made a vow to be his wife for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part.
And I pray every day to be the wife that can and will do that. I’ve said it before and I will say it again, marriage takes work but it’s worth it if you marry the right person, of course.
I love celebrating my husband, celebrating his life. Some days, I can’t believe how blessed I am that God led me to be his wife. Neither of us are perfect, but he is the man of our house, the head, he leads us, and I love, honour, and respect him as he does (well, I try my very best to!!).
Being his wife is one of the best things to have happened to me, and I can’t tell you how much I love that I get to spend the rest of my life with him. And get to see a side of him that other people rarely see ❤️
I pray that we get to celebrate many more birthdays together, and I encourage you to think of any vows and promises you have made, no matter how long ago, remind yourself of them.
